So has occurred and to the stamp "SHevrole".Such surname carried Lui-Zhozef SHevrole, born on December, 25th, 1873 in a French-speaking part of Switzerland. Lui there was one of seven children of the poor watch-maker in the Swiss small town a Sho-de-fund. When to it 10 years were executed, his family, in search of the best share, has got over to France where the clever boy could finish high school. Then France was the leader of world motor industry, and almost each sharp mechanic tried to build cars in a domestic workshop. In 1909 Djurant has invited Lui SHevrole and his brother Arthur to become firm racers "Bjuika". Those have agreed with pleasure. But the place was only one and consequently for brothers competitions have been arranged. A car racing has won Lui then the star of its glory has started to ascend with unknown speed. In 1909 it gains at once three important victories and occupies an honourable 11 place in competitions on cup Vanderbilda. Before I world war it entered into a cohort of the best race drivers of America. Enterprising U.Djurant has decided to make business on a name of the glorified sportsman. In 1911 he has suggested Lui to leave for a while races and to be engaged in manufacture of the own car, and that has agreed on it. The project of the new car was developed by experts «Dzheneral motors». Djurant has put up in the project considerable money, and SHevrole has named the car, already well-known to the majority of Americans. It also has served as pledge of the future success. The emblem of the new stamp of the car had been selected the white slanting cross very similar to a cross of the Swiss flag. Having formed new firm and having flooded the market cheap and popular cars of the stamp "SHevrole", Djurant has earned a heap of money and has solved, neither it is a lot of nor a little, to attach the automobile giant «Dzheneral motors» to tiny "SHevrole". And it was possible to it! He could redeem a controlling interest «Dzheneral motors» and villages again in an armchair of the chairman of board. Firm "Шевроле" was a part of concern, and its cars became basic production of a motorcar giant. We do not know, what was L.Shevrole's role in working out of the car carrying his name. One said, that it has made it almost alone, and others asserted, that it has developed only the general concept of the new car. So there was a business, or otherwise, but the first «SHevrole the Classic-siks» was born on October, 3rd, 1911. It was the traditional American four-seater car with the 6-cylinder engine capacity in 30 horsepowers. But the price of the first-born - 2500 dollars - was unreasonable for the buyer and consequently it had no success. Popular then "Ford" cost five times more cheaply. Djurant has understood, that the keystone to success is covered not in fashionableness of the car, and in its simplicity and cheapness. It has departed from manufacture of smart models and has begun release of inexpensive 4-cylinder cars - open automobile "Bebi" and sports «Rojal the Mail». In 1916 on their base has been created «CHevrolet-490», brought to firm loud glory. These cheap, but reliable cars became same popular, as well as "Fordy". On them there were 4-cylinder motors in volume of 2,8 litres. The car has appeared so successful, that was issued till 1922, and has given a life of not less known model "superior" which has existed till 1927. How there was a further destiny of our heroes - L.Shevrole and U.Djuranta? William Djurant soon was again ruined and has been expelled from the concern created by it «Dzheneral motors». Lui SHevrole has worked in the firm only 2 years and has again left in automobile sports, and has then created firm on manufacture of racing cars "Frontenak" by which itself and went. To company "CHevrolet" it any more had no relation, but till the end of days to it flattered, that one of the largest automobile firms of the world carries his name. In the evening of life he hard was ill and has died in 1941, almost all forgotten. 135 years later after birth Lui SHevrole as memory of the designer-racer remained only world famous stamp of cars. They are let out by factories General Motors. At these factories located in the USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina in 2002 it has been let out by 2 million 263 thousand cars, off-road cars, sports cars, minivans, pickups and vans. Along with sports models Chevrolet Corvette and Chevrolet Camaro off-road cars Blazer and Trail Blazer use popularity, one time they even were issued in Russia on elabuzhskom car factory. And today Chevrolet do in Tolyatti are off-road cars Chevrolet Niva.
